Yes PowerLink don't perform well on connections with a high network latency

So you will need to use either Citrix or some kind of remote desktop sitting on the same network as the IBM i server passing only the screen image, keyboard and mouse movement to the remote client - or your could use NetLink. In our tests it performs similar to PowerLink via Citrix. So if your IBM i server has available resources to run the NetLink process "onboard" it would be very easy, and costless, for you to setup such an experiment.
