Sales tax calculation solutions

We are a COM / IFM shop, currently at R7.8. We currently use an Avalera solution for calculating sales taxes. I'm investigating other options and would appreciate any input. What solution do you use? Is it well-integrated with XA (i.e., reasonably "plug and play")? Does it reside local or is it cloud-based? Is it very expensive? How would you rate the vendor's support? Thanks.
