You are correct I don't use XA on a daily basis, however our iForms and other document management software has been implemented with XA and other customers who use AFP. I also work with host print transform and transformation services quite a bit which is why your use of host print had me a little confused, thus my question. Seems to me you would want to simply generate your output and not prompt for user input whenever possible. Just let Formtastic or whatever forms product you use pick up and deliver the documents, but then again I don't work with XA daily, so you probably know more than me !! :-) Regards, Richard Schoen Director of Document Management e. If that is the case, not sure why you are here. :) Anyways. Here are more details on the process: Within the Host Print dialog, there is the Output tab where you can have it send an Email. For email you can select the type of attachment: PDF, HTML, or TXT. Normally, if you select PDF, there is a XA program that kicks in to convert the spool file to a PDF that XA then emails out. There is an option via a User Exit where a different PDF converter can be used, in our case Formtastic. With that user exit turned on and a little bit of code added, the spool file is handed off to Formtastic to create the PDF. Formtastic then hands the PDF back to XA for it to email off.
