My guess is that if your customers are using PDF conversion that is not XA's core, they too would be having issues. Unless they have coded a work around.

The issue is not the Forms package or PDF generation. It is the integration into XA. The issue is within the bowels of XA logic. There is a work around and we are just hoping to track down someone who has already done it to give us a big jump forward.

Thanks,

Subject: Re: [MAPICS-L] Report Override and PDFs

You are correct I don't use XA on a daily basis, however our iForms and other document management software has been implemented with XA and other customers who use AFP. I also work with host print transform and transformation services quite a bit which is why your use of host print had me a little confused, thus my question.

Seems to me you would want to simply generate your output and not prompt for user input whenever possible. Just let Formtastic or whatever forms product you use pick up and deliver the documents, but then again I don't work with XA daily, so you probably know more than me !! :-)
