good time to checkin -- ark1 branch looming

Hi, if any of you are inadvertently sitting on a big pile of
Arusha stuff that needs to be checked into CVS (teams ARK,
Sidai, and small fry [sample1, etc.] at sourceforge.net),
this would be a good time to start thinking about checking
it in.  Or sending me a patch.  Or whatever.

I'll try to do all my pending checkins this weekend.

Progress report: the ark2 stuff can do the (team) sample1
try-ark thing, as described on the "give it a try in the
privacy of your own home (directory)" web page.

I can therefore imagine tagging/branching the ark1 stuff
early in the week.  Don't hold me to it, but...
