Taking up one or two "deferred" items re Berto's message:

Anyone care?  Actually you can call it anything you like.
This'll work fine:

   setenv ARK_PROFILE $HOME/.-_-_weird-ark-naming-run-amok

It's just a matter of what we want to "recommend" via the docs.

You're right.  I deleted that, er, uhh... hack.

You're not "messing with sidai stuff", but you are
"inheriting attributes and methods from sidai objects".
(Sample1 is sidai-style, essentially.)
