Date: Sat, 09 Jun 2001 15:55:19 -0400 From: Harlan Stenn <[email protected]> There is a try-ark setup in pfcs1/ that used to work with pfcs-try.xml as its team. Harlan: Thanks for the tip. But note: "used to". More than getting Arusha to work FOR ME, I'm trying to help Will & co. have this thing work for everybody, especially the open source window shopper who hasn't already heard great things about Arusha, thus is committed to working through the initial difficulties. Am I starting to sound like a harpy about this? Especially given the first-rate job you have done with its autoconf/automake, PIKT usually gives the user that first, gratifying, sure-fire success: The 'make', 'make check', and 'make install' simply work way more often than not. Assuming a successful 'make check', at that point the user has a high degree of confidence that PIKT will run, more or less, on his/her machine, that all the essential pieces are in place. (Of course, the post 'make install' setup and getting PIKT to doing actual useful production work is the next step, and for some a good deal harder.)
