Funny you should mention this. I had just embarked on writing my
macro-language for cfengine as pure python (sorry ark). I think this is an
excellent solution - who needs yet another language syntax? And there is
lots of documentation on the python syntax. I used to do similar things in
Tcl all the time (Tcl is better at making up extended languages than python
as it lets you create new control structures - but Tcl gets messy as your
program gets large). Going this route means you are married to the chosen
implementation language - but it does save a lot of effort.
