Yes I think that's a good idea, but for scriptability there should
always the possibility of feeding it with seconds since the epoch,
so you can simply store the time() output of the local system somewhere
before running dar.

Yes, but if you want to add a feature to interpret different
time formats, there wouldn't be much of a point to write a man page
entry now ;)

Well, it was mostly pattern matching on the code of the
filtre_sauvegarde
function (sometimes with a French dictionary in hand ;-), I definitely
haven't read any of the actual archiving code. Yet.
