2.6 ETA?

Is there any estimate on when 2.6 will be made available for public? I
have read it has been stable since last year (?) and originally planned
for release "near the end of" 2017.

I am currently deploying a backup system which absolutely must use the
--delta feature of dar. I'd like to know if I should wait for 2.6 a bit
longer or look for alternative options (I love dar and would rather
stick to it when possible).
