the --enable-largefile is activated by default, you don't need to 
specify it. To know if you have or not large file support, try to
make a file larger than 4GB, either with "dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/test 
bs=1048576 count=5242880" or generating an archive with dar using "-s 
5G" for example.

I like it too, but realized a bit late it would be interesting for a 
GUI. As I am actually in testing porting documenting and soon 
pre-release, this open/close will be for next release.
