Filename provided by the operating system seems truncated

I'm getting this message:

Filename provided by the operating system seems truncated in directory
EXAMPLE ignoring it: FILENAME THAT IS REALLY REALLY LONG

Does this mean my backup is incomplete?
AFAIK, the filename is complete and rather long.
