Hi Denis and all,
I have problems with the remote repository access to an archive.
If I created an archive locally and moved it to a cloud (sftp) storage later, how can I access the archive with `dar` built-in remote repository syntax?
Here is what I tried (the name of archive is 'first', path to file on server is '~/archives/server4you/first.1.dar'):
$ dar_static -va -t sftp://xxxxxx-dkDJ02dbnmreHdyl1kFMAYSt3XBXLi8Os0AfqQuZ5sE@public.gmane.org/archives/server4you/first
Parse error: Error opening directory: archives/server4you : No such file or directory
It seems that `dar` does not recognize or try the remote connection at all but only looks on my local file system.
This holds for both my local `dar` command and for the downloaded `dar_static` (all are version 2.7.7)
Libcurl is enabled and besides `dar`, I can access the sftp both with SSH key and password without problems using sftp/ssh commands.
I have more problems with creating an archive directly on the sftp storage, it worked only in parts and not until a successful end (at least here I could access the sftp server with `dar`, albeit password only)
That's why I created the archive locally first and transfered it to my cloud storage later.
The problems I faced with remote archive *creation*, I will write in a different mail, for now I just need to access/read the copied archive on the cloud storage.
Any help is appreciated, many thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
Martin
