star has some quirks, for one, the --listed-incremental is done
differently. In all the dump/restore stuff is much more geared to
partitions then to directories (as hdup/tar is). 

Star has some must have features (-F), but I don't think I will be
able to use star in hdup as I have been using tar...

So I'm back to redoing the find-stuff in hdup 1.6.38 (and maybe also
moving to glib for that release).
