This is a list with the current issues in hdup2 on it. (I don't
have time to maintain hdup1.6 - that version will prob. be
removed from my site within this year).

The one major thing I want to fix is #1, but this involves=20
patching gnu tar and hdup2. But I will see how far I can take
this. I really consider hdup2 to be complete if this is finished.
(but i've said that before :-) )

I consider the rest minor stuff, for which I don't have any time. But of
course I will accept patches for that. :-)

The list:

(For the record; #2 - #6 also apply to hdup1.6)

1. tar fails to include directory information=20
   in the incremental dumps it creates for hdup.

2. Its written in C, not much of a problem. But the main=20
   reason its C is that I wanted to learn the language.
   Probably some time in the future it would be best if
   hdup were re-written in a higher level language.

3. Config file parsing problems. This is related to #2.
   It's currently working, but not perfect.

4. Restore is flaky. I hardly use it, but it seems to
   work. First versions of hdup didn't have a restore
   capability. And I still think it could be ripped out.
   (KISS principle).

5. There were reports of crashing hdups when doing something
   remote. I have not investigated this, nor have I seen any
   follow ups on this.

6. A general test-suite will test/check the various backup
   and restore functions; local/remote/encrypted/chunks,
   and all the combinations.
