What I'm thinking now is the following:=20 see how this tar/hdup2 thingy plays out and in the meantime I'm pondering about hdup3: - python based (it's really time for me to learn this :-) ) all the benefits of a higher language (should even run on windows) - indeed use dar - not sure about any restore capability This would yield a small fast and simple backup program. Btw, I'm (slowly) moving to another house, so any real implementation will not start until the summer, -- grtz, - Miek http://www.miek.nl http://www.nlnetlabs.nl PGP Key ID: 0xB18453A1 fingerprint: 002B B079 0DDA 7D44 2B5C CAB0 C3B7 F943 B184 53A1 --/9ZOS6odDaRI+0hI Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFCdesdw7f5Q7GEU6ERAgyDAJ9JV5UEPHadCamUOV9VQDGolT2dNgCfcYey CShzqX+cEv846YVkDux2TlE= =FMZX -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --/9ZOS6odDaRI+0hI--
