I've tested an actual backup yesterday with a patched tar (1.15.1) and
I can say it works. Only thing is, the directories are included twice.
The may seem bad, but actually it is not /that/ bad, because a
directory doesn't have content. The resulting tar file isn't much
bigger as a result of this.

The default location for hdup.conf is now
${prefix}/etc/hdup/hdup.conf, that clearly doesn't work :-). So I'm
fixing that up and then will put up a 2.0.9 and directions on how to=20
patch tar.
Note: I don't think this tar patch will ever get accepted...1) because
the tar maintainer is working on rewriting the --listed-incremental
stuff. And 2) the patch doesn't solve the whole issue.
