Patch should work for 2.2.8 too: I had spotted the issue in 2.2.8,
but other things delayed me to fix it before 2.2.9.  I had not verified
it for 2.2.8, but as I remember, the code I had fixed wan't changed
between these versions.

You can ask Andrew Stribblehill, [email protected], or Morten Werner
Forsbring, [email protected], to update Debian port to 2.2.9 and add the
upstream (CFEngine's) patch.  Or just add the upstream patch to Debian's
2.2.8 package.
