Well, turns out that AIX doesn't have any means of creating a system-V compatible checksum (at least not one I could find), so I had to just switch to using Digest::MD5. It's verified to work on linux, solaris, and AIX. I've checked it into CVS. In addition, I modified the sum checking so that you can set 'IS_USESUMS=0/1' to mark whether you even want to use checksums at all. Lastly, I've added a --nosum option to ischeck, so you can refresh the sums if they get broken (did I already mention this?). I would appreciate it if someone would test it further, if possible. I will probably create another tar ball before too long if I don't hear from anyone. Luke -- Nature and nature's laws lay hid in night, God said, "Let Newton be," and all was light. It did not last; the devil howling "Ho! Let Einstein be!" restored the status quo. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: The SF.net Donation Program.
