Mac OSX, pmtime, Retina support, and other questions

Hi All, I pulled down the 3.11.4 DMG to install on a new Mac and have an interesting problem. When I launch pmchart from Finder or Dock pmtime doesn't start, which basically renders pmchart not so useful for realtime monitor. If I launch it from the shell, open /Applications/pmchart.app, pmtime forks just fine. Strange and I have not been able to deduce why. Any ideas? I saw that QT5+ builds were checked in recently. In theory that should mean pmchart could support Retina scaling. Has anyone tried to enable that?
