This has been reported by others too, but we're none the wiser unfortunately
and don't yet have a root cause.  Would be wonderful to have fixed; this did
work in the past, so its something from more recent Mac OS X versions I think.

Noone has tried yet AFAIK.  I've enabled the missing plist key after reading
http://blog.qt.io/blog/2013/04/25/retina-display-support-for-mac-os-ios-and-x11/
... so a build from current pcp master branch should enable this.
