Thanks Toben.

One more question on reports. I have imported DB2 , WAS cognos reports in TCR 2.1. Availability reports not available in default. How can I generate availability report for db2 and WAS?

Regards
Saby

Gotcha!  And I hope you could hear my smile in my email last evening.  I re-read just now and it sounded a bit rude to me, but by no means was that the intent.

Anyway, the best way to get what you want here is to instrument ITM's S&P agent to account for shifts (SHIFTPERIOD).  It will cause the TDW to grow much larger (3X) as it now will have three categories of data: ONSHIFT, OFFSHIFT, ALLSHIFTS.  However, you could then just adjust your TCR report definition to also report according to those defined shifts that would already be in the Hourly/Daily tables.

I hope that is clear, but if not, lemme know.

When I select date range I'm not getting any data from default reports. My collection interval is 15 mints and warehouse interval is 1 hour. How can I generate a report for business hours?

>Saby:  Your question is too broad to be effective.  If you can, flesh out the generality into something with more specific relief so that someone can comment on it.  To ask whether TCR's single/multiple resource uptime report is based on agent availability is akin to asking whether the Bellagio's profit/loss report is based on player betting patterns.  You know the answer is "yes," but more is needed from the inquisitor to know how to respond in a way that matters.
