RE: TEP Userid 10 Character Limitation

10 characters.

Ever notice the TEMS database tables and columns are also 10 characters 
maximum?

The very first Omegamon product targeted the AS/400 and it used the 
built-in AS/400 APIs. At the time, 10 character limits were EVERYWHERE. So 
that is how the product was baked.

When we went to the next stage, we had to create a set of AS/400 API 
simulation routines.

It will be a long time [my guess] before that 10 character limit changes.

Hey Julius,
 
My user authentication is at the hub_TEMS.  And yes, I mean login id. 
However, when setting up users in the TEP it asks for userid.

No user id still has 10 characters, but if you mean login id, this can be
longer than 10 characters as soon as user is authenticated at TEPS.
