I wrote this after working with customer that set most sampling intervals 
to 1 minute. At the time I was a little non-plussed  made some general 
remarks. Later on I came up with more convincing words and some logical 
ways to make a choice which balances the human and machine costs. The 
customer is no longer around but now you can know what I should have 
said!!
