**ANNOUNCE** New Windows 2000/XP Client Beta Release

Folks,

iFAX Solutions (www.ifax.com) is proud to announce the first public beta
release of HylaFSP(tm), a commercial (non-free) HylaFAX client for Windows
2000 and Windows XP.

HylaFSP is a simple, lightweight and easily-installed client for send-only
fax implementations (faxing from the desktop). It leverages Windows'
built-in fax functionality to deliver a completely native Windows experience
to the end user.

Quite simply, this thing rocks ;-)

For the duration of the beta period, the latest release can be freely
downloaded from:

ftp://ftp.ifax.com/pub/client/HylaFSP/beta/


Steps to install:
-----------------

1. Satisfy prerequisites:
    a) If installing on Windows XP, make sure the "Fax Service" component is
installed.
        (Control-Panels->Add or Remove Programs->Add/Remove Windows
Components)
    b) If installing on Windows 2000, make sure you're relatively up to date
with service packs
2. Unzip the downloaded file
3. Run setup.exe
4. Reboot, open the HylaFSP control panel and configure
5. Print a document to the printer "FAX", step through the wizard and weep
softly as your
    high-quality fax is sent effortlessly.

Troubleshooting:
------------------

Enabling the debug option in the HylaFSP control panel will cause HylaFSP to
write a log file to the windows SYSTEM32 directory (look for
HylaFSP<something>.log). This is the client/server protocol trace file, and
may contain information about any failures. Also, the application even logs
(Control Panels -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> Application) are
generally very helpful in troubleshooting any problems.
