on commnication between modem of class 1 and modem of class 1.0

Hi all,
        With command "at+fclass=?",  "0,1,8 and ok" are displayed on my computer screen. I know the modem of my computer does not support class 1.0. So the command "at+f34=14,1,2"  can not be supported.
        My question is whether the modem can communicate with modem of class 1.0, which supports at+f34=14,1,2 command.
