Well, Yes and No.
The release binary version is still corrupted by the bad compiler.
In ubuntu:
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
brought in the bad version of faxgetty and that is all that should be needed to
fix faxgetty.
The currently released version of faxgetty to ubuntu lucid still crashes with
segfault.  A new properly compiled version faxgetty binary needs to be released
to ubuntu to fix everyone (non-programmers included).

My faxgetty is still segfaulting on ubuntu.

It is imperitive that a new properly compiled version of faxgetty is released
to ubuntu so that:
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
fixed the faxgetty segfault problem in lucid.  That is how we received the bad
version.
