That is how we received the bad > version. I think you're going to need to get an ubuntu packager involved then. We have no control of how, what, or when Canonoical builds packages for Ubuntu. From everything I've been able to do, and see, it was a problem with the compiler mis-compiling something when compiled with -O2. It looks like Guiseppe tried to get ubuntu developers to notice. Maybe someone else could pipe in and ask them to either take Guiseppe's offer for a package patch, or fix g++ in lucid.
