Re: Single page fax received several times

EOM is a signal that is sent by the sending system to indicate that the
current document is finished but that more documents are to come in the
same call.

So, in the log you provide there appear to be several different
documents being sent. If the received pages for the different documents
are all identical (or mostly identical) then something malfunctioned
somewhere, but not on HylaFAX's part.

The session log does not lie. The sender sent multiple documents. If
you're asking "why" the sender did this - I don't know. You'd have to
troubleshoot on the send-side.

I've seen telcos receive faxes on-behalf of their customers on their fax
lines and then retransmit them to the customer when their line was
available. Sometimes this resulted in many faxes coming through with
one call - delineated by EOM. If it's the same page coming through on
most of those documents, then I suspect the original sender had trouble
transmitting to the telco, and so it retransmitted several times, and
the telco queued-up several copies of the same document... all which
were delivered later to the customer.

Thanks,

Lee.
