After receiving a fax faxgetty calls on faxrcvd as configured by 
FaxRcvdCmd in your modem config file.  By default it is 
/var/spool/hylafax/bin/faxrcvd.  The default faxrcvd invokes 
/var/spool/hylafax/etc/FaxDispatch.

So, are you using the default faxrcvd?  And, if so, what do you have in 
FaxDispatch?

If you are using a customized faxrcvd then you'll need to examine that.
