Thank you. Config file did not make a difference and here is the output of probemodem. Also realized that faxgetty is not starting. Also tried Hylafax+ - # systemctl status hylafax-faxgetty@ttyUSB0 -l > faxgetty.txt # cat faxgetty.txt ● [email protected] - faxgetty on /dev/ttyUSB0 Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/[email protected]; enabled; vendor preset: disabled) Active: activating (auto-restart) since Fri 2017-11-17 06:03:47 EST; 17s ago Docs: man:faxgetty(8) Process: 6415 ExecStart=/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyUSB0 (code=exited, status=255) Main PID: 6415 (code=exited, status=255) # ps ax | grep fax 761 ? Help and TIA. Modem ttyUSB0 (+1.718.xxx.xxxx): Waiting for modem to come ready The differences between what you're using and HylaFAX+ will probably not resolve your problem directly. Chances are that your USR modem is exhibiting some problem due to a misconfiguration. USR modems are a bit quirky and can require unique configurations. The 5686G model number seems to be a new one for us, and maybe you ended up with a bad modem config file. Probably what you want is something close to this: https://sourceforge.net/p/hylafax/HylaFAX+/HEAD/tree/trunk/config/usr-xon However, if that doesn't work for you please post the output of 'probemodem' against your modem. If you really want to try HylaFAX+ then you can get it from EPEL: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL After EPEL is enabled then you'd 'yum install hylafax+'. But, again, I don't think that you should look to that as a resolution for the problem you're having. Thanks, Lee.
