Repurpose fax as a printer-scanner. What do I need?

Then I should expect regular "routers" to be only able to bridge from/to analaog to/from VoIP to/from the exterior, if I understood it well.

It supports "superfine" resolution, I think the most that has been stansarised. If it's readable with ease, it's enough for.me.

This is a bad property of this project, for sure.

I appreciate your advise. For me it means that it will not be straightforward. However, I have my reasons:
* I am tired of short lived printers
* I don't want to buy more ink nor throw away dirty empty cartriges anymore
* I want to reuse older machines, older stocks as fax paper
* I want to learn about telephony
* I like fix line phones.

So I found a fritzbox available to reuse near me, with PBX, RJ11 and RJ45. Looks to play the double role of ATA and PBX.

It appears to me that it could satisfy the conditions you said for hylafax to talk to my fax.

However, now I am afraid I could lose the fixed phone line and regular fax features I have now, if it happens to be that fritzbox can't connect well to my isp-provided router. But I know this can be already offtopic for hylafax, so just tell me if that's the case.
