Yes, 'shutdown -r' constitutes a soft reboot.=C2=A0 (As compared to a har=
d
reboot where you turn the power off.)

To reload the driver modules you'll need to figure it out.=C2=A0 I don't =
have
a ready-made answer for your exact environment and modem.=C2=A0 You'd usu=
ally
use rmmod to unload modules.
