Hello,
I have used jurabib for some time to write my masters thesis. I found it
very usefull, but I had some problems as well. I was using it together
with bibtopic package.
1) When using jurabib with bibtopic, \citetitle{..} and
\footcitetitle{..} doesn't work. It places "Ibidem" instead of short
author/short title.
2) In Poland some authors must use polish abbreviations. I could easily
change "Ibidem", but I had problems with "et.al", "Vol.", "Nr."
3) When cited an internet page, I was told to cite the title of the page
(eg. "Internet page of organization X") together with url and urldate.
It would be easier when a global switch was added, to always make full
citations for @WWW bibentry types.
4) Sometimes it was not possible to find all the data for bibentries,
eg. I had some examples without year. It would be confortable if jurabib
could check it and not write comma and period one after another (comma
should go before the year).
5) I had problems when citing articles, as in Poland we have different
norms. A proper citation (according to my supervisor) should look like:
author, title, journal_title year, vol. X, nr Y.
I couldn't change the names of "Vol.", "Nr.", and the order of the fields.
6) When citing books, I had to use "Editor_address" field instead of
"editor" - I just put the address in the editor field, but this makes
the *.bib file language specific, which is not good (as I usually write
some english publications on the same topic as well).
Thank you for your attention. Is the package being developed, or I am on
my own?
Grzes
