My two cents:
-Note that very few manuscripts actually have titles... so the 1st part
(<title>, <pages>, <page>, In:) is pretty optional in most cases.
-In:, colons, etc. may change with languages (OK, that may easily be
hacked, but still).
Philipp Reichmuth's suggestion about groups and levels is excellent!!
It does sound rather complicated, but that would be a really great
feature.
