Problem with \formatpages

Hello all,
I try to get the following citations in my document:

article:  Ballerstedt DÖV 1951, 449 (450)  author journal year,
startpage (referencepage)
periodical: Barden ZögU 25 [2002],  375 (380) author journal volume
[year], startpage (referencepage)

I do this with the following commands:
\formatpages[ ][]{article}{(}{)}
or
\formatpages[ ][]{periodical}{(}{)}

It works fine as long as I use only one of those commands, but
if I use both commands in the same file the second one
overwrites the first one and the first citation is only formated as:
Ballerstedt DÖV 1951, 450

Has anyone an idea how to get both journals right
formated in one document?
