"(ed.)" and "editor" & \edbyname

Hello, all.  I posted this initially to comp.text.tex, but got no
reply.  I should have gone straight to the horse's mouth first, I
guess!  I hope someone can help me.

Two related queries:

1. Using the option "oxford=true" in jurabib.cfg (with a few other
unconnected options), and \bibliographystyle{jox}, I get the word
"editor" or "editors" after editor names, when I would really like to
have (ed.) and (eds).  For example:

This .bib entry (made with Bibdesk:

@book{Parsons:1975,
        Address = {London and Chichester},
        Date-Added = {2005-04-19 11:08:34 +0100},
        Date-Modified = {2005-04-19 11:34:59 +0100},
        Editor = {David Parsons},
        Publisher = {Phillimore},
        Shorttitle = {Tenth-Century Studies},
        Title = {Tenth-Century Studies: Essays in Commemoration of the
Millennium of the Council of Winchester and \emph{Regularis
Concordia}},
        Year = {1975}}

With citefull=chapter on, I get this text from \footcite{Parsons:1975}:

D. Parsons, editor, Tenth-Century Studies: Essays in Commemoration of
the Millennium of the Council of Winchester and Regularis Concordia
(London and Chichester: Phillimore, 1975).

I'd like:

D. Parsons (ed.), Tenth-Century....

Likewise, in the bibliography I'd like to see:

Parsons, D. (ed.), Tenth-Century.....

I'm not sure why this isn't working already.  Based on the
documentation, I thought (ed.) was the default setting.  Searching
through jurabib.sty, I can't find any place where "editor" is defined.
 Is it some offshoot of "oxford=true" that's not in jurabib.sty?

2. In a related problem, with "incollection" entries, I'd like to have
the booktitle followed by the editors.  I don't get the desired result
even with the "edby" option turned on, which I assume means that
re-defining \edbyname won't do anything.  For example, for this .bib
entry:

@incollection{Barrow:1994,
        Address = {Woodbridge and Rochester, N.Y.},
        Author = {Barrow, Julia},
        Booktitle = {Anglo-Norman Durham, 1093--1193},
        Date-Added = {2005-04-19 13:36:11 +0100},
        Date-Modified = {2005-04-19 13:52:10 +0100},
        Editor = {David Rollason and Margaret Harvey and Michael
Prestwich},
        Pages = {25--39},
        Publisher = {Boydell Press},
        Shorttitle = {English cathedral communities and reform},
        Title = {English cathedral communities and reform in the late
tenth
and eleventh centuries},
        Year = {1994}}

I get the following:

J. Barrow, `English cathedral communities and reform in the late tenth
and eleventh centuries', in: D. Rollason, M. Harvey and M. Prestwich,
editors, Anglo-Norman Durham, 1093--1193 (Woodbridge and Rochester,
N.Y.: Boydell Press, 1994), 25--39.

Really what I'd like is:

J. Barrow, `English cathedral communities and reform in the late tenth
and eleventh centuries', in Anglo-Norman Durham, 1093--1193, ed. D.
Rollason, M. Harvey and M. Prestwich (Woodbridge.......



Any suggestions?
