I usually need to have reversal of name order and abbreviated first
names, e.g. Lastname, F. N.
Right now, however, I need to cite a document written by Pope John XII
(died 964). Right now, he's coming out as "XII, P. J.", which isn't
quite right!
I've tried using non-breaking spaces (~) between the words; this does
nothing. When I enclose the whole name in curly braces, I get a LaTeX
error message saying that there's a runaway argument.
Any thoughts? Thanks.
