You didn't use the correct bibtex syntax for multiple authors.
>If I have e.g. in the bibtex-file

If you change to:
AUTHOR = {Mueller, Gerd and Maier, Sepp
and Lehmann, Jens and Schulze, Hans},
It might work better. Otherwise post again.
