Re: bibliography with certain canonical reference

I looked more carefully at the ConTeXt publications manual, and there is 
a cleaner way to handle the parentheses as part of the citation itself.

|lefttext| and |righttext| add material to the individual citation 
entry, whereas |left| and |right| delimit the citation as a whole. So 
could you try:

\cite
[alternative=author,
left={(},
right={)},
righttext={{, ca. 350 BCE/2009}}]
[main::aristotle2009ethics]

This should produce:

(Aristotle, ca. 350 BCE/2009)

The double braces around |righttext| are intentional because the added 
text contains a comma.
