Yes, I think it makes sense. I am only wondering if there should not be
the option to have a \rtfoptionbegin and \rtfoptionend and a
\rtfarg1begin \rtfarg1end, etc. That would make the whole construction
completely flexible. On the other hand, I don't know if it makes any
sense in reality. Most of the stuff I have seen was:
\ftfoption option rtfarg1 arg \rtfend. So for me your proposal would be
fine.
