Since Scott has annouced that corrections (e.g. for description environment) were posted in CVS, I tried to get the updated files. Unfortunately, when one depresses download, the file is not downloaded but posted on the screen in a new window. This results in several terrible messes: 1) copying/pasting the posted screen into a Memacs new file tranforms <tab> to multiple spaces. Therefore "diff" cannot find the actual differences (for checking) since most lines have differences due to <tab> (in the file coming from *.tar.gz) differing from its transcription into spaces. 2) moreover, the new file hase the date of its transfer/pasting and NOT its original time. Thus, if I have two files, I have no means of knowing which one is the most recent. ---> when one click on "download" it should ne downloaded as is, and NOT posted on the screen ---> better: propose viewing the file, and DISTINCTLY propose downloading each updated file, not as is, but wrapped either in a *.tar.gz, or in a *.zip, since both wrappings keep the generation date, and not the transfer date. Note I also tried to save the global file with heading comments, but it is in HTML, so that the saved file is unuseable... -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Daniel Taupin, 91400 ORSAY - France E-mail= mailto:[email protected] Home/fax: (33)1.60.10.26.44.
