Try this in your preamble:
\FontText{\black\normalsize}{\black\normalsize}
The problem I found is in the standard font that prosper uses.
This somehow scales maths not properly (don't ask me why). When
using seminar standard fonts and font sizes system, all goes
well. I will take this into account for the new class TeXciting.

PS: if the font is too small, use \ptsize{12} or so.
