Hi, When trying to find a minimal example, I figured out what caused the problem I've mentioned in my previous post. Apparently, there was an unbalanced number of overlays in an earlier slide. Inside some itemstep environment, I accidently put an itemize environment, but the number of overlays assumed it was an itemstep environment. Very strangely, and yet not reproducable in a simpler case, the itemize items were still displayed step-by-step. Many slides later, the examples were no longer displayed correctly. I've changed itemize to itemstep, and made sure that the number of overlays matches the number of items, and now the problem has gone away. :-) Sorry for having bothered you!
