Thanks for pointing out the existence of this class, which I wasn't aware of.

I used the slides class for years, at the time of physical slides, then I purchased Keynote in 2003 and I have been using it since, together with LaTeXiT for formulae.

I heard about beamer, and many students use it, but I never switched. First there was another popular package originally (maybe powerdot, I'm not sure), and I didn't want to spend time trying, comparing the two and choosing one without being sure of making the right choice. Then beamer got the lead, but I got intimidated by the page count of its documentation.

Maybe ltx-talk is what's needed to make me switch. There's always the issue of including videos, of course. I'm a bit lost. There used to be something (movie15?) and it's been replaced by something else (media9?). And Acrobat is required to play the result, it won't work without?
