Well package managers of Linux distributions generally differentiate from hard and soft dependencies (Debian has even three levels with hard, recommends and suggests). But I guess this would be a lot of dev, while human ressources are likely already scarce and better spent on other LaTeX projects. > Good luck with your thesis. Thanks again. -k Oh, I defended my thesis years ago. But this is the first document I recompile on every TeX Live yearly upgrade to check for changes/differences. It’s huge enough that it uses a lot of the packages I use elsewhere, so a good first check. Regards, Archange
