Mea culpa.

I missed the "mkiv" part of this (partially because of the similar and
concurrent discussion on the ConTeXt mailing list about TL2026 problems).

My TL2026 installation is not fine,
   .../texlive/2026/texmf-var//luatex-cache/context
is (essentially) empty, whereas
   .../texlive/2026/texmf-var//luametatex-cache/context/
has many, many files.
