For CTAN, also no official policy is in place. We are in discussion here.

Here my personal view as a member of the CTAN team:

1. I fully agree with what Karl said.

2. A package author should mention if a package was created in collaboration with an AI.

Currently, we reject a new package if the author of a new package used AI and created
stupid stuff. Fortunately, in most cases this can relatively easy be recognized. But
there is no guarantee as life is complicated. 🤣

My personal recommendation for your undertaking: go ahead and mention openly that AI
was involved.
