repository

Hello,

I have installed TeX Live 2026 on NetBSD 10.1 (amd64) using the official
install-tl installer.

The installation completed successfully, and the platform is correctly
recognized:

$ tlmgr platform list
Available platforms:
    ...
    (i) amd64-netbsd
        ...

        The main TeX binaries are installed and working correctly:

        $ which pdflatex
        /home/so/.local/texlive/2026/bin/amd64-netbsd/pdflatex

        $ which lualatex
        /home/so/.local/texlive/2026/bin/amd64-netbsd/lualatex

        $ which tlmgr
        /home/so/.local/texlive/2026/bin/amd64-netbsd/tlmgr

        However, no biber executable is installed.

        tlmgr reports that the package is installed:

        $ tlmgr info biber

        package:     biber
        installed:   Yes
        revision:    79618

        tlmgr: cannot find depending package biber.amd64-netbsd

        Trying to install the platform-specific package gives:

        $ tlmgr install biber.amd64-netbsd

        tlmgr install: package biber.amd64-netbsd not present in
        repository.

        Also:

        $ ls ~/.local/texlive/2026/bin/amd64-netbsd | grep biber

        returns no output.

        The repository used is:

        https://mirror.ibcp.fr/pub/CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet

        and tlmgr update --self / tlmgr update --all report that the
        installation is fully up to date.

        Is the absence of biber.amd64-netbsd intentional, or is it a
        missing binary package in the TeX Live 2026 repository ?
