Regarding your "as I already wrote", my reply above was posted 3 minutes
prior to your reply on the other branch-thread. (I watched it appear on a
WWW-page refresh after I posted mine, but am confused by the timezone bug
that some software appears to have unless there truly was a 7-hour
moderator-approval delay that coincidentally looked like a 3-minute
difference in time.) Either way, 2 ships passing in the night. I am not
ignoring you. (And the problem still exists with XeLaTeX & friends.)

I intend to perform a detailed analysis soon as per your instructions, but
right now I am limping along (in English-only mode) using the msc package
with garden-variety LaTeX for now to meet some deadlines. (Btw, everything
works fine with MiKTeX's msc in LaTeX to DVI [but still on XeLaTeX].) I
doubt that I will have a large enough block of time to recompile XeLaTeX &
friends in debug mode and bring them up in the debugger until sometime
during June 2011.  (I am a programmer in Ada [since 2002], C++ [since 1988],
and C [since 1985].) But prior to that in-depth debugging session (if still
needed), I will execute your plan in full as you specified on the other
branch-thread. Once I have some new evidence that looks like it might be
useful for diagnosis, I will post it.

tschüß
